Celso Borges Mora is a Costa Rican professional footballer who plays as a central midfielder for Deportivo La Coruña in the Spanish Segunda División and the Costa Rica national team. Borges was born on May 27, 1988, in San José, Costa Rica.
Borges began his professional career with Deportivo Saprissa in Costa Rica before moving to Europe to play for Norwegian club Fredrikstad in 2012. He then joined Deportivo La Coruña in 2015 and has been a key player for the team ever since.
Borges has also been a regular member of the Costa Rica national team, representing his country in multiple Copa America and CONCACAF Gold Cup tournaments. He has earned over 100 caps for Costa Rica and has scored several crucial goals for his national team.
Known for his vision, passing ability, and defensive work rate, Borges is considered one of the best midfielders in Costa Rica and has been praised for his leadership on and off the field.
